Luther College scored three first half goals, including two just 30 seconds apart, as the Norse went on to defeat the Buena Vista women's soccer team on Saturday afternoon, 4-0.

The Norse (13-1, 3-1 IIAC) broke a scoreless match at the 23:27 mark of the first half before doubling the lead just 30 seconds later.  Luther made it a 3-0 cushion at the half with a goal during the 33'.

That's the way the score stood until the 62' when Lauren Hughes scored her second goal of the match for the four-goal margin.

Luther outshot BVU in the contest, 22-1, with 13 of those attempts coming on-goal.

Rachel Novotny went the distance in-goal for the Beavers (3-7-3, 0-3-1 IIAC) and posted nine saves.

Buena Vista will step outside of conference play on Wednesday night, October 15, for a 6:00pm match at UW-River Falls.
