Grinnell College scored five times in the first half, while holding the Buena Vista women's soccer team to only two total shots in the match, en route to a 6-0 victory over the Beavers on Sunday afternoon.

The Pioneers, which turned eight of their first half shots into goals, built a 3-0 lead before the midway point of the first half, and then added two more goals over the next 15 minutes.

Grinnell chalked up 15 more shots in the second half, including one that went for a goal 15 minutes into the period.

Same Richards and Naomi Wood had the only two shots for BVU with Tricia Schwartz going the distance in-goal and recording 10 saves.

Buena Vista is now 1-3 on the year and returns to action on Thursday night, September 12, when the team travels to AIB for a 7:00pm match.
