The Buena Vista women's soccer team began the Iowa Conference portion of its schedule on Saturday afternoon at Luther and it was the Norse who scored four times in each half en route to the 8-1 victory over the Beavers.

Luther (3-5, 1-0 IIAC) wasted little time getting the scoring started, taking the 1-0 lead less than three minutes into the contest.  It had built a 3-0 advantage midway through the first half before holding to a 4-0 lead at the break.

Two goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half extended the Luther margin to 6-0 before Sam Richards got the Beavers on the board with her second goal of the season off an assist from Sharon Feld.

The Norse took 22 shots in the contest with 16 coming on-goal.  The Beavers were held to only four shots and just two on-goal.

Buena Vista is now 2-8 overall (0-1 IIAC) and will continue IIAC play on Wednesday evening when the team hosts Wartburg College beginning at 5:00pm.
