The Buena Vista volleyball team was playing its final Iowa Conference match of the year on Wednesday night at Luther, and it was the Norse hanging on to win the first set which eventually lifted them to a 3-0 victory over the Beavers.

Freshman Maddie Bardole led BVU with 13 kills with Chelsea Clayton next in line with six.  As a team, the Beavers were held to only a .091 hitting percentage, while Luther posted a .234.

Jordan Leehy dished out 26 assists and moves within 10 of posting just the seventh 1,000 assist total in BVU single-season history.

Taylor Salisbury was the team leader with seven digs with Bardole and Shelby Wiederhoeft each posting four total blocks.

Luther is now 15-18 (4-3 IIAC) with BVU sitting at 16-11 (1-6 IIAC).

The Beavers will now wrap up their 2013 season on Saturday as they take part in the Gustavus Adolphus Triangular.  The team will face the host Gusties at 10:30am, followed by UW-Superior at 2:30pm.
