Central Comes back and Tops Beaver Volleyball in Four Sets

The Buena Vista volleyball team took set one, 25-21, on Tuesday night at Central College in search of its second league win of the year, but the Dutch (7-17, 1-4 IIAC) came back to win three straight (25-20, 25-21, 25-21) and take the match, 3-1.

Chelsea Clayton and Shelby Wiederhoeft helped lead the way, tallying 13 kills each, with Clayton also recording a .257 hitting percentage.  Maddie Bardole followed with 11 kills and 16 digs.  She now has 321 kills on the year and moves into 11th on the program's single-season list.  Clayton now has 588 career kills, moving her into seventh-place on the program's all-time career list.  She also posted four total blocks, defensviely.

Jordan Leehy dished out 38 assists, while Jordan Henningsen and Taylor Salisbury , posted 17 and 14 digs, respectively.

Buena Vista is now 14-9 overall (1-4 IIAC).  The team will return to action this Saturday as it takes part in the Waldorf Triangular in Forest City, Iowa.  It will open against Valley City at 3:30 before wrapping up against Mayville State at 6:30pm.
