Brent Koppie begins his second season on the Beaver wrestling staff with head coach Jeff Breese and his third at BVU overall.

Koppie brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the BVU Wrestling program with 20 years successful seasons coaching at the high school level. During Koppie’s 15 seasons as a high school head coach, he consistently produces state qualifiers and medalists.

A past University and Open Director for Iowa/USA Wrestling, Koppie has placed a strong emphasis on the international styles of wrestling. During his six year tenure with the Iowa Junior National Team, he has helped coach four Junior National Champions and several All-Americans in Greco.

Koppie has also coached international tours in Austria, Dominican Republic, and Hungary.
