Biography

About Maddie:  Is the daughter of Scott Bardole and Linda Bardole...has two sisters, Jordan and Lindsey.

High School Highlights:  Was a four-year letterwinner in volleyball for the Hawks and Coach Jackson.  She was a First Team All-Conference performer as a sophomore, junior and senior after being an Honorable Mention selection as a freshman.  She was also an All-District and All-State selection in each of her final three years.  In addition to volleyball, she lettered all four years in track and was a state qualifier each year.  In 2011, she was a state champion in the distance medley relay and runner-up in the 4x200, 4x400 and 4x800 relays.  A year later, she was state champion in the 4x200, runner-up in the 4x100 and sprint medley and placed third in the distance medley relays.  She also lettered all four years in basketball.

College Highlights:

2015: She would play in all 34 matches and 132 games for the beavers this season. She had an outstanding season ranking 2nd in kills, 4th in assists, 3rd in served aces, 2nd in digs, and 5th in total blocks on the team. Against Dubuque she would have a season high 26 kills, 2 aces, and 14 digs. She was named the IIAC MVP for the season.

2014: Was named to the All-Tournament Team of the season-opening Wash U Labor Day Classic where she also reached 500 career kills. She finished the year leading the way with a school-record 614 kills and a .250 hitting percentage.  On a national level, she ranked 12th in kills/set (4.48) and fifth in total kills.  During Iowa Conference play, she ranked second in kills/set (3.97).  She had 10 matches with at least 20 kills on the year, including a career-best 33 against Gustavus Adolphus which set a new single-match record for five sets in school history. Following the year, she was an all-conference selection and an Honorable Mention All-Region performer.

2013
: Turned in one of the all-time best seasons for a Beaver freshman.  She started all 29 matches for the team and led both the team and Iowa Conference in kills (416) and kills/set (3.78).  She was second on the team in service aces (29) and digs (339), while sitting third with 30 assists and 50 total black.  She turned in a career-best 23 kills in a match against Dubuque and reached the 20-kill plateau a total of three times on the year.  Following the year, she was voted First Team All-IIAC and named the league''s Freshman of the Year.
