About Kelsey: Is the daughter of Bob Ackerman and Jean Ackerman...has two sisters, Rebecca and Jamie.
High School Highlights: Was a four-year letterwinner for the Cougars and was an Honorable Mention All-River Cities Conference selection as both a junior and senior, while also earning Honorable Mention All-State accolades as a junior. In addition to volleyball, she also lettered three times in tennis and was an Honorable Mention All-State selection as a sophomore and senior. She also earned one varsity letter in basketball.
Aside from athletics, she was listed on the Honor Roll all four years, was Academic All-State in tennis as a junior and Academic All-Conference in tennis as a sophomore, junior and senior and in volleyball all four years.
College Highlights:
2015: She played in 2 matches and 4 games this year. She would have 1 assist, 1 ace, 3 digs, and 1 block.
2014: Appeared in 17 matches during the year and added depth off the bench. She finished with 14 kills and seven services aces. Defensively, she added nine total blocks. She posted a season-best three kills at Martin Luther and a season-high six digs at Dubuque.
2013: Played in 25 matches for the Beavers during her freshman season and ranked seventh on the team in kills (61) and digs (61) and was fifth in total blocks (27). She registered a career-high seven kills in a match against Dordt on October 3 and turned in a career-best 10 digs in the Iowa Conference opener at Simpson on September 18.
