Biography

About Emily: Is the daughter of Jon and Marna...has one sister, Chelsea.

High School Highlights: As a senior in 2013, she totaled 367 total kills (3.95/set) and posted a stellar .371 hitting percentage.  In addition, she also recorded 96 total blocks (1.03/set).  For the year, she ranked eighth in Class 3A in total kills and seventh in kills/set.  Following the year, she was selected to the North Iowa Conference (NIC) All-Conference First Team and was a Second Team All-State selection in Class 3A by the Des Moines Register.  Aside from volleyball, she was also a Class 2A State Champion in track and field during the 100m hurdles.

As a junior in 2012, she was named the NIC Player of the Year, was a First Team All-NIC selection and landed a spot on the Class 3A Central All-District Team.  For the year, she ranked third in total kills (382) and first in kills/set (4.9) in all of Class 3A.

In addition to volleyball, she lettered two years in both basketball and cheerleading as well as four years in track.

College Highlights:
2014: Emily played in all 36 matches and 137 sets for the Beavers as a freshman and ranked third on the team with 284 total kills and second with 96 total blocks.  She turned in 15 kills and five block assists in her collegiate debut against Webster in the season-opener.  She set a career-high with 17 kills during BVU''s 3-2 win against Luther.  Her seven total blocks against Hanover were also a career-best.  She ranked ninth among all IIAC players for the year in both kills/set and blocks/set, and following the year was an All-IIAC selection.
