Kaitie (Serkiz) Laughlin begins her first season on the Buena Vista University volleyball coaching staff as an assistant coach in the fall of 2025.
Serkiz returns to her alma mater after spending one season as the head coach at Conestoga High School in Murray, Neb. She had also been the Assistant Director for the Volleyball Academy since December of 2023.
A native of, Plattsmouth, Neb., Serkiz also spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Plattsmouth High School to begin her coaching career.
During her time on the court at BVU, Serkiz was a three-year starter for the Beavers (2019-21) where she played in nearly 50 career matches and registered over 400 career kills and 40 blocks.
She graduated from BVU with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and has spent two years as an Early Childhood Teacher at Conestoga Elementary School and also one year as a substitute teacher.
Serkiz and her husband, Colby, who played football at BVU, have three dogs: Sullivan, Honey and Wallace.
