Aubrey (Havlichek) Bell is set to begin her third season as head volleyball coach in the fall of 2020.
In two seasons, the team has gone 24-35 overall (7-9 conference) and has qualified into the conference tournament each season. She has produced three all-conference selections and a pair of honorable mention honorees.
Bell made her way to campus after spending two years at Finlandia University. She was hired as assistant volleyball coach there in August 2016 before taking over head coaching duties just over a month later. During her tenure, however, she coached a pair of First Team All-American Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) First Team selections, as well as one Second Team and one Honorable Mention honoree. Despite limited time to assemble her first recruiting class, it did include an All-ACAA Freshman Team selection.
In 2017, she guided Finlandia to a number one seed in the first-ever ACAA Championships and also had four Academic All-ACAA performers. Havlichek has also spent time coaching the UP Power Club in Houghton, Mich., as well as the Juggernaut Volleyball Club based in Wheat Ridge, Colo.
A native of Thornton, Colo., Bell played volleyball herself at the collegiate level for four years at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Mich., from 2012-15. She was a four-year letterwinner and a three-year starter as an outside/right side hitter.
Bell earned a Bachelor of Science degree in sports and fitness management with a minor in coaching. She was a member of the Dean's List and an All-GLIAC Academic Selection.
She resides in Storm Lake and recently married her husband, Jeremy.
