Biography

About Celie: Is the daughter of Bob and Paula...her mother played collegiate volleyball at Ball State...has one sister, Emma.

High School Highlights: As a senior in 2013, she totaled 205 kills (1.78/set) and posted a .215 hitting percentage for the year.  In addition, she also tallied 80 total blocks (0.7/set) en route to helping the team advance into the semifinal round of the Class 5A Iowa State Volleyball Tournament.  Following the year, she was a Central Iowa Conference (West Division) Second Team All-Conference selection as well as an Academic All-Conference performer.

As a junior in 2012, she was a Second Team All-Conference selection, an Academic All-Conference performer and also played on a team that was an Iowa State Volleyball Tournament qualifier in Class 5A.

In addition to volleyball, she lettered her junior and senior year in tennis.

College Highlights:
2014: Celie played in all 36 matches and appeared in all 137 sets.  She finished the year ranked fourth on the team with 233 kills and was tops with 105 total blocks and 59 service aces.  She set a career-high with 10 kills during a 3-0 win against Central to begin IIAC play and would go on to match that total four other times.  Her five services aces against Hanover in the third match of the year was a career-best that she later matched against Minnesota-Morris.  Defensively, she also added a career-high seven total blocks in the match with Minnesota-Morris and ranked 65th nationally in total blocks.  Her 0.79 blocks/set during IIAC play was the seventh-best mark in the league.
