Kerron Stewart was hired in the summer of 2021 and will begin her first season on staff as an assistant track & field coach in 2021-22.  In addition, she will served as an Assistant Director of Athletic Performance.

Stewart was an elite professional track & field athlete throughout her 11-year competitive career (2007-18).  She is a three-time Olympian and a five-time World Champion sprinter and is one of the most decorated women track & field athletes all-time at Auburn University.

During the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, Stewart earned a silver medal in the 100m (10.98s) before landing a bronze medal in the 200m (22.0s).  Her final Olympic medal came in 2012 at London when she earned a silver medal as a member of the 4x100m relay.  She also anchored the Jamaican 4x100m relay team to victory at the 2009 World Championships (42.06s) and earned gold medals in the event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and the 2015 World Championships in Beijing, China.

Throughout her collegiate career with the Tigers, Stewart was a seven-time All-American.  In 2007, she was both an indoor and outdoor national champion in the 200m and an indoor national champion in the 60m.  Following the year, Stewart was named the 2007 Southeastern Conference (SEC) Runner of the Year as well as the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) National Runner of the Year.  That same year, she won the Honda Sports Award as the nation's best female collegiate track & field athlete.

In addition to her national titles, Stewart was a five-time SEC champion, winning titles in the 55m, 100m, 200m, and 4x400m.

Following the end of her professional competition career, she became a volunteer assistant coach at Auburn from 2017-18 and served as a Fitness Coach with the KTP Soccer Club in Kotka, Finland in 2019.

Stewart earned an Associate Degree of Science in physical education from Essex County College in 2005 before going on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in adult education and sports minor from Auburn in 2008.  She holds certifications as both a strength and conditioning coach and personal training and nutrition specialist.
