About Val: Is the daughter of Alonso and Veronica...has four brothers; Luis, Byron, Alonso and Juan, as well as one sister, Cinda.

High School Highlights: She earned three varsity letters while playing soccer for the Wolverines (2013, 2014 & 2015) and was a Missouri River Athletic Conference (MRAC) honorable mention selection in 2015....served as a team captain.

In addition to soccer, she lettered three times in softball (2012, 2013, 2014).

Aside from athleics, she was an Academic All-Conference performer in 2013, 2014 and 2015, was listed on the Honor Roll, graduated as Class Salutatorian and was in the top-1 percent of her graduating class.
