Morgan Philliber began with BVU as a part of the women's soccer coaching staff in 2022.
During the 2022 season, the Beavers had their best season in ten years. The team improved in each statistical category from 2021 to 2022, including nearly doubling their goals for and cutting their goal against by 24. The defense also had two shutouts, tying its mark from the 2019 season.
Prior to BVU, Philliber graduated of the University of Wisconsin-Superior in 2021. She graduated from UWS with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science with minors in Health and Coaching. She is a native of Edina, Minn., and a graduate of Edina High School.
During her time at UWS, Philliber was a member of the women's soccer team. During her playing career, Philliber received the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Defensive Player of the Week award (April 2020), UMAC Defensive Player of the Year award (Spring 2021), UMAC First Team All-Conference award (Spring 2021), and numerous Academic All-Conference Awards. She also served as a team captain.
In her final season, the team reached the first round of the NCAA DIII National Tournament during the program’s first national tournament appearance.
Philliber was a member of the UWS Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC). She served as a Vice-President (2020-21) and President (2021-22) and also served for the UMAC SAAC group as the Head Chair (2021-22).
In addition to soccer, Morgan is extremely passionate for advocating for mental health and the stigma around it. She served as a campus ambassador for The Hidden Opponent during her time as a college athlete.
