Annika Patton begins her fourth year on staff as an assistant women's golf coach at Buena Vista in the fall of 2025.
Last fall, the BVU women's team had a pair of all-conference individual performances with one other landing honorable mention honors. As a team, the Beavers took fourth which resulted in its highest finish in 18 years. On the men's side, BVU came in sixth and notched its highest placing in over a decade.
During her first season on staff, Patton helped the team improve its performance at the A-R-C Championships by 159 total strokes and place seventh overall. This past fall, the team jumped up two more spots and finished tied for fifth and had a top-15 individual finish for the first time in three seasons.
Patton has a wealth of experience and success under her belt after a career as a Division I golfer at the University of Northern Iowa. A native of Aurelia, Iowa, Patton was a two-time individual state champion in high school (2017 & 2019), earning the Iowa Golf Association Player of the Year honors both times. She was a four-year Twin Lakes Conference medalist and a four-year Des Moines Register All-Iowa Elite Team selection.
In addition to her coaching duties, Patton serves as a BVU admissions counselor. Her husband, Joe, is the head coach of both the BVU women's and men's golf teams.
