RETURNING STUDENTS, WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE ATHLETICS MOMENT?
My most memorable athletic moment is always the Augustana Twilight meet. Hundreds of runners line up in the dark to run a course lined with glow sticks. This meet also plays music as we run, which really helps!
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT YOUR SPORT?
Cross country is both an individual and team sport. You need support from your teammates and coach, but you also need good mental health and determination. I feel like cross country is a healthy sport with great outcomes on both ends.
DESCRIBE YOUR AVERAGE PREGAME RITUAL.
Our average pregame ritual consists of a 2 mile warm up where we chat or listen to music. It also involves waiting in long lines for the porta-potties, stretching, and saying a prayer with the team.
