Biography
About Sidney: Is the daughter of Jeffrey and Diane...has four sisters, Taylor, Brooke, Bailey and Payton...her sister, Taylor competes in track and field at Central College.
High School Highlights: Was a four-year letterwinner in basketball for the Panthers and was a First Team All-Conference selection her sophomore thru senior seasons. She was an All-Region performer from 2011-13 and was selected to play in the IGCA Senior Girls Basketball All-Star Game as a senior. She was an INS Player of the Week for Class 2A in December of 2011. She graduates as the school''s career record holder in games played and careet three-point buckets. She was a member of a conference championship team all four years.
In addition to basketball, she was also a four-time letterwinner in track and field where she was a state qualifier each year. In 2011 and 2012, she competed at the Drake Relays and is part of a school record 4x400 relay team, set in 2012. She also lettered four years in cheerleading and was part of a runner-up Co-Ed Drill Team at State in 2011.
Aside from athletics, Sidney received academic honors each year.
College Highlights:
2015-16: Appeared in all 27 games and started 1 of them this season. Her 19.4 minutes per game was 6th and her 8.9 points per game was 4th. Her 67 made three pointers on the season was tops on the team. At North Central on Nov. 20th she played 24 minutes and scored a season high 20 points and added 2 rebounds.
2014-15: Played in all 25 games, including nine starts, and ranked fifth on the team in scoring at 8.6ppg. Her 55 three-point baskets ranked second on the team while her .318 percentage was second. She turned in a pair of 20-point performances, including the season opener against Martin Luther where she tallied 21 points and made three three-pointers. Midway through the year, she registered a season-best 22 points vs. Olivet Nazarene, including a career-best six three-point buckets.
2013-14: She played in 25 games off the bench during her freshman campaign. She did most of her damage from long range throughout the season, connecting on a team-high 41.4 percent of her attempts (29-of-70). That mark was also third-best in the IIAC and was the school''s second-best single-season percentage of all-time. For the year, she averaged 5.8 points per contest and scored the game-winning three-point bucket as time expired against Wartburg on February 1 to keep the team''s conference tournament hopes alive.
