Biography
About Lacey: Is the daughter of Keith and Cindy...has one brother, Tyre, as well as two sisters, Ramie and Amber.
High School Highlights: Was a four-year letterwinner in basketball for the Wheelers. Earned Second Team All-Western Iowa Conference accolades as a sophomore before landing a spot on the First Team each of her final two years. She also played on a conference championship and state qualifying team as a sophomore. She was a team captain for the Wheelers all three years. In addition to basketball, she lettered five times in softball and was a First Team All-Conference selection in each of her final three seasons. She was also a team captain for the Wheelers each year. She also lettered four times in track, capturing a state title in the hurdles in 2010 before placing seventh in 2012.
College Highlights:
2015-16: She appeared in all 27 games while starting 23 of them. Her 24.3 minutes per game was 4th on the team while her 39 made free throws was 3rd and Her 101 assists led the team. Versus Simpson on January 6th she scored 11 points while adding 9 rebounds and 1 assist.
2014-15: Lacey played in 24 games and made 23 starts, while averaging 23.6 minutes per outing. She was sixth on the team in scoring at 5.8ppg and was second in rebounding at 5.0 and assists (55). Her 13 points against Crown in the second game of the year was a season-high while her 10 board against Wartburg on January 24 was also a new career-best.
2013-14: She played all 27 of the team''s games, including 23 starts. She became the team''s starting point guard this season and dished out a team-leading 3.1 assist per contest - mark that also ranked third in the Iowa Conference. She was sixth on the team in scoring (6.1ppg) and third in rebounding (4.5rpg). She had six double-digit scoring games, including a career-best 19 points, on 5-of-6 shooting and 9-of-10 from the free-throw line during a win against Luther on February 8. She grabbed a career-best 10 rebounds in the seaoson finale at Coe (IIAC Tournament semifinal) and had a pair of games during the year in which she dished out a career-high eight assists.
2012-13: She appeared in 24 games off the bench for the Beavers as a freshman and turned in averages of 3.4 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. In her collegiate debut at nationally-ranked Washington (Mo.) University, she turned in six points and went 3-of-5 at the free-throw line, while grabbing three rebounds. She had her first double-digit scoring game when she tallied 12 points at Northwestern-St. Paul. She later had a 10-point performance against Wartburg where she made a career-high six free-throws. She dished out a career-high five assists in a win against Crown College (Minn.) and also had multiple games of grabbing five rebounds.
In addition to basketball, Lacey is also a member of the Beaver softball team.
