About Moriah: Is the daughter of Barney and Sonya...has one brother, Grant, as well as two sisters, Carlee and Tabitha.
High School Highlights: She was a three-time varsity letterwinner for the Warriors and earned Honorable Mention All-Division honors in 2012 & 2013, as well as Honorable Mention All-State accolades in 2013.
Aside from athletics, Moriah was a member of the National Honor Society, listed on the Honor Roll and received an Athletic Scholar Award.
College Highlights:
2018: Moriah appeared in 21 games this year and started in 19 of those games. She was a workhorse for the Beavers this year throwing 118 innings. She had an ERA of 3.14 and won 11 outings. She totaled her second highest amount of strikeouts with 85. Against Wartburg at the end of April she went 7 solid innings only surrendering 2 runs, 1 which was earned. She picked up the win in that outing as well.
2017: Named Academic All-Iowa Confernece...Started 19 of the 22 games in which she pitched...Won a team-high 12 games (12-8) and pitched a team-high 125.0 innings...Posted a 2.97 ERA and three shutouts...Pitched a complete-game, two-hit shutout against Colby on March 21, striking out seven...Pitched a complete-game, four-hit shutout against St. Olaf on March 22, striking out four...Finished the year with 74 strikeouts and only 30 walks.
2016: Appeared in 19 games and started 17 of those. She was second on the team in ERA (3.04), innings pitched (92.0), and led the team in strike outs (97). Against Coe College on April 12th she pitched 7 innings only allowing 1 run while striking out 8 and collecting the win. She finished the season with a 9-7 record.
2015: She played in 18 games and made 12 starts for the Beavers as a freshman. She finished the year with two hits in 14 at-bats, including one doubel to go along with two RBI. Both hits came in game two of the IIAC opening doubleheader on March 31 when she went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI as BVU picked up the 9-6 win. Moriah saw most of her action on the mound where she worked 84 innings and finished the year with a 7-7 record and a 4.75 ERA. She posted a team-high 70 strikeouts. Her first career victory came against UW-Eau Claire on March 1 when she pitched a complete-game, allowing only one run while striking out 10. She nearly matched that total with nine strikeouts while pitching a complete-game, one-hit shutout against Simpson College on April 4. She notched her first career save against Wartburg on April 20.
