About the Coach

Coach Shane Maier is in his fourteenth year of coaching track & field. His passion for guiding young men and women to achieve their highest potential is why he decided to become a coach. He wants to see student-athletes obtain their goals in track & field as well as in the weight room. He firmly believes that hard work, blood, sweat, and tears are part of the process. His hope is that the student-athletes he coaches develop an understanding that with persistence comes the ability overcome adversity.

Maier believes a student-athlete who is coachable, driven and shows a lot of heart can become great. Someone who does not find excuses, has accountability, and a desire to get better every day.
