Ross Minick begins his fifth season with the program in the fall of 2022 and the fourth as its head coach.  He joined the staff as an assistant men's soccer coach in the fall of 2018.

Over his first three seasons on campus, the program has combined for 19 academic all-conference selections which is more than the previous seven years combined.  In all, he has coached 20 academic all-conference selections as head coach as well as one Honorable Mention All-Conference performer.  The team also doubled its goal production during conference play from 2019 to 2020.

Minick came to Buena Vista after serving as the assistant coach for two seasons at Hiram College.  While there, he helped two Terriers receive All-NCAC awards and multiple players earning OCSA Academic All-Ohio awards. Along with his coaching duties, Minick was responsible for recruiting, video and game analysis, and administrative duties.  He also coached club with Everest Soccer Club in the high school age groups.  Before joining the staff at Hiram and Everest, Ross coaches in his hometown for North Royalton Soccer Club as a head coach in the youth travel program.  

Minick has received his United States Soccer Federation "E" license and his United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Diploma. 

Ross just graduated with his Masters of Interdisciplinary Studies from Hiram College. He also received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2012 from Hiram where he was a member of the men's soccer program for four years.  He played club for Internationals Soccer Club during his youth career.  

He, and his fiance, Lisa Dano, reside in Storm Lake.
