About Tyler: Has three brothers, Christen, Jerimiah and Joseph, as well as one sister, Desiree.

High School Highlights: He lettered in cross country, track, wrestling, and bowling in high school. He was team captain and All-Conference in cross country. Tyler was also a Silver Cord member.

College Highlights:
2012: He lowered his career-best time to 28:02 midway through his sophomore season during the Briar Cliff Invite.

2011: Tyler took part in four events as a freshman and reached the finish line with his season-best time of 29:58 during the Iowa Collegiate Championships, hosted by Iowa State University.
