Defensive Line Coach

Derek Wilson joined the Beaver football coaching staff in the fall of 2023 and begins his second season coaching the defensive line.

Throughout his first campaign, Wilson's defensive line helped lead the Beaver defense as three of the top-six tacklers played on the line. He helped coach one Honorable Mention All-Conference selection.

Wilson played college football at Hamline University in St Paul, Minn., and graduated in 2014. He then spent the following fall as the interior defensive line coach at HU.

In 2019, Wilson moved on and started coaching defensive line at St. Thomas Academy in Mendota Heights, Minn., and remained in that position until leaving for BVU.
