Adrian Davis begins his fifth season as a member of the Buena Vista football coaching staff in 2022. He started as the team's defensive line coach when he first joined the staff and has since added the role of Special Teams Coordinator starting in 2018.
During his tenure, Davis helped coach three all-conference defensive lineman selections and an All-American return specialist. As a team in 2019, the Beavers ranked third in the A-R-C in kick-off returns, averaging over 22.0 yards per return, while the team has twice led the league in punt returns (2021, 2018).
Davis brings a wealth of both coaching and playing experience to the program. Just prior to arriving at BVU, he served as the defensive line and special teams coordinator for the Arena Football League's (AFL) Nebraska Danger.
Prior to moving into the coaching ranks, he was also a player for the Danger from February 2012-July 2015. He was an All-AFL player in 2013 and was part of three straight conference championships (2013-15). He totaled 266 career tackles, 21.5 sacks and six interceptions.
He moved to the Danger coaching staff after having spent three years coaching at the high school level. He was defensive line coach at Burke High School (Neb.) in 2015 after serving as defensive coordinator/defensive line coach at Northwest High School in Grand Island, Neb., in both 2013 & 2014.
A native of Rosenburg, Texas, Davis earned a scholarship to play football at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark. He went on to become a three-year starting defensive lineman for the Razorbacks and was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team as a true freshman. He served as team captain in 2009-10 and led the defense in sacks twice.
Davis earned his Bachelor of Science degree in sociology and criminal justice from the university in 2010.
Following his collegiate career, Davis spent one season playing for the St. Louis Rams organization.
