High School Highlights: Was a three-year letterwinner in baseball for the Huskies, earning all-conference honors in 2009. He also served as his team''s captain that same season. In addition, he was a two-time letterwinner in football, also earning all-conference recognition in 2009. He lettered in basketball in 2008.
College Highlights: Is a three-year letterwinner for BVU. Neil saw action in 11 games as a freshman, including seven starts. His collegiate debut came on March 14 at Westminser College when he also made his first career start. A week later at Nebraska Wesleyan, he also got the start in game two of that doubleheader and went 2-for-5 with a double, three RBI and scored two runs. As a sophomore, he made 15 appearances and hit his first career home run at the University of Dubuque on April 1, while driving in three. He had a break-out season while becoming the team''s starting catcher as a junior last season. He was sixth on the team in average and tied for third in doubles. He turned in his first career three-hit game when he went 3-for-4 with two runs scored against Loras College.
