Biography

About Michael: Michael is the son of Dave and Debra Zellar... also the brother of Jonathan Zellar.

High School Highlights: Michael received the silver scholar award twice in high school. He was a one year letter winner in cross country and a captian and in baseball was a two year letter winner in 2012 and 2013.

College Highlights:

2017: Played in 14 games, primarily off the bench...Went 3-for-3 with an RBI and run scored in the season-opener against Fontbonne on February 24.

2016: He would start all 26 games he appeared in. He set a career high in batting average .299 and would collect 14 RBI’s while scoring 20 runs. Against Simpson on May 13th he would go 2-4 with 5 RBI’s, scoring 2 runs, and hitting his first career home run.

2015: He played in 11 games and made seven starts.  Finished the year going 7-for-30 at the plate with two doubles and three RBI.  He made his collegiate debut against Cornell College on March 8.  Had his first career hit when he went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI against Bethany Lutheran on March 9.  Had his second multi-hit game when he again went 2-for-4 with a double and RBI against Carroll (Wis.) on March 10.

2014: Played on the junior varsity team as a freshman.
