About Kolby: Kolby is the son of Travis and Kim Hilgenberg... and brother of Teryn and Kyndal Hilgenberg
High School Highlights: Kolby was a three time letter winner in football and track, along with being a two time letter winner in football and a four time letter winner in wrestling. In 2012 Kolby was 2nd Team All Conference and Honorable Mention for All Western Iowa. In 2013 his senior season, Kolby was 1st Team All Conference, All-Western Iowa, and INA All State, along with 2nd in Sports Spotlight All State.
College Highlights:
2017: Second Team All-Iowa Conference...Ranked second on the team with 51 hits and led the way with 15 doubles and four home runs...He had 17 multi-hit games...Matched a season-high with four hits and three RBI during the opener of a doubleheader against Central College on April 17...Made just three errors in over 50 chances as the team''s starting right fielder.
2016: Appeared in 20 games while starting 7 of those. He had a strong stretch in the middle of the season where he collected 5 hits in 4 games.
2015: Kolby played in 16 games and made nine starts and finished the year hitting .293 in 41 at-bats. He had two doubles, two triples and one home run, while also scoring five times. He also posted a .512 slugging percentage. He recorded his first career hit when he went 1-for-4 during a 15-3 win at Nebraska Wesleyan on March 15. In the series opener against Luther on May 1, he went 2-for-3 with a double, triple and two runs scored before going 2-for-4 with a triple, home run and two runs scored in the finale of that series on May 2.
2014: He played on the junior varsity team as a freshman.
