About Joe: Is the son of John and ColleenPaletta of Omaha, Nebraska......He has one brother, Michael, andone sister, Gina....his sister played collegiate soccer for fouryears at Mankato State.
High School Highlights: Was a two-timeletterwinner in baseball for the Patriots, while also earning apair of varsity letters in football.
College Highlights: Joe played in 47 games as afreshman in 2011, including 44 starts. Playing primarily as theteam''s designated hitter, he started the first game he played in,getting the nod at Westminster College on March 5. In that contest,he went 2-for-5 with a double and home run, three RBI and one runscored. He blasted two home runs, drove in two runs and scoredtwice at the University of Dubuque. His six round trippers weresecond on the team. His first career three-hit game came a daylater also against the Spartans when he chalked up three doubles,drove in three more runs and scored twice. He tallied six totalhits during the Central Regional Tournament, including his firstcareer triple in game one against Carthage. Following the year, hewas voted by his teammates as the Newcomer of the Year. Lastseason, he made a charge offensively during the IIAC Tournament,finishing 12-for-24 with three doubles, seven RBI and four runsscored, upping his season average more than 50 points. Earlier inthe season he drove in a career-best four runs before matching thattotal against Coe College at the IIAC Tournament on May 11.
