About Adam: Is the son of Timothy and Lori Bernstorf.
High School Highlights: Adam graduated in the top 15% of his class. He was a 2 year letter winner in baseball receiving 2nd team All-State, 1st team All-Conference honors and led class 4A in wins in 2011. In 2012 Adam received All-Conference Honorable Mention as a senior.
College Highlights:
2016: Made 2 starts for the team pitching 5.2 innings and striking out 3.
2015: Did not appear in a game during his junior season.
2014: He made three appearances, including two starts, and posted a 4.50 ERA. He pitched a total of 10 innings, allowing eight runs (five earned) while striking out 11. He pitched a season-high four innings, allowing two runs on four hits, while striking out three during a win over St. Scholastica on March 1. He struck out a season-high five batters over three innings of relief against nationally-ranked St. Thomas during the NCAA Regional Tournament.
2013: Appeared in five games on the mound (all starts) and went 3-1 overall with a 5.48 ERA. His three wins ranked third on the staff and his 23 innings ranked seventh. He finished with 14 strikeouts and only nine walks as opponents hit .202. He made his collegiate debut against Gustavus Adolphus on April 3 and pitched five innings, allowing a run on four hits en route to his first career win. He also struck out four. He then matched that strikeout total in his next start where he pitched a career-best six innings, allowing two runs on three hits in a win over Dubuque on April 14.
