Head Coach Conner Ellinghuysen

Conner Ellinghuysen

Meet Coach Conner Ellinghuysen

If you spend five minutes with Coach Conner, you’ll quickly learn that archery at BVU is about a lot more than hitting the center. It’s about finding focus, learning to bounce back, and being part of a team that feels more like a family.

Coach Conner has been part of the archery world since his 4-H days, and that passion has only grown stronger. He’s a 4-H and USA Archery Level 3 Coach and Instructor Trainer, meaning he not only coaches college archers but also trains coaches across the country. Since launching BVU’s collegiate program in 2022, he’s built one of the fastest-growing archery teams in the Midwest, known for its supportive culture, competitive spirit, and heart.

His coaching philosophy is simple: help every archer grow into the best version of themselves, on the range and in life. He believes every arrow tells a story of focus, grit, and learning, and he works closely with each athlete to strengthen both their technical skills and their mental game.

BVU Archery’s mission says it best: “We support each other on and off the range, making a positive impact in our communities and inspiring others to find their potential.” You’ll find teammates who cheer loud, pick each other up, and take pride in doing things the right way. Whether you’re new to competition or chasing national titles, you’ll have a coach who believes in your potential and helps you find confidence, discipline, and joy in the process.

As Coach Conner likes to say, “We don’t just shoot targets, we discover who we are.”
