About John: Is the son of Greg and Sandy...has one brother, Clayton, as well as one sister, Kayleen.

High School Highlights: Earned four letters in football while playing for the Bears. He was a two-time All-District selection, including Second Team honors following his senior campaign. In addition to his time on the gridiron, he was a four-time letterwinner in track and earned all-conference honors each season, while also participating at the state track meet as a junior in the 4x400 relay, 4x800 relay and the distance medley relay. He also received three letters in both basketball and baseball. Aside from athletics, he was named to the Honor Roll throughout his career.

College Highlights:
2014: Appeared in nine games for BVU and registered a career-high 29 total tackles.  He also registered one sack and two pass breakups.  He got the year started with a career-best 10 stops against UW-Platteville and closed out his career with six stops at Coe in the season finale. 

2013: Played in seven games for the Beavers and saw action on spcial teams as well as limited time at defensive back.  He finished the year with 15 total tackles, including a season-high five against Bethel.

2012: Appeared in nine games at the varsity level and finished with a career-high 23 tackles and one pass break-up.  He was in on a career-best eight tackles against Bethel.

2011: Played primarily on the junior varsity team.
