About John: Is the son of Carl and Jeanne  Hill. He has one brother, Adam, and two sisters, Emily Hill-Engstler  and Stef Pirkl.
High School Highlights: While playing for the Lynx, John was  led by Coach Howard. He held the honors of First Team All-District in  2008, All-Academic Team (2007 & 2008), and Third Team All- State in  2008. Hill was also a state qualifier in track his junior and senior  seasons. In addition, he lettered in basketball and baseball. Outside of  athletics, John was fourth in his class in academics and on honor roll  all four years.
College Highlights: As a freshman in 2009, John appeared in  all 10 games for the Beavers, including two starts. He had 82 rushes on  the season, good for 224 yards and two touchdowns. His break out game  came against Simpson College on September 26, 2009 as he carried the  ball 18 times for 89 yards and scored his first career touchdown. As a  sophomore, he appeared in 10 games including seven starts. He led the  team in rushing with 411 yards on 123 carries and three touchdowns.  He  rushed for a career-high 101 yards on 20 carries, as well as one  touchdown, against Peru State.  He later scored a pair of touchdowns  against Loras College. John was also named to the IIAC All-Academic  team. He then started eight games as a junior in 2011, finishing as the  team''s leader in rushing yet again.  He had three 100-yard rushing  games, including a career-best 120 yards and one touchdown at Wartburg  College.  A week later, he also scored a touchdown and ran for 109 more  yards versus Cornell College.  Following the season, he again was named  an IIAC Academic All-Conference selection.
