About Chase: Chase is the son of Brandon Wetherington and Candi Pursel-Lediard. He has two brothers, Kory Gordon and Matthew Lediard and one sister Kaitlyn Wetherington.

High School Highlights: His freshman year he was Honorable Mention All-Conference LB. His sophomore year he was Honorable Mention All-Conference LB and Second Team All-Conference RB. Junior Year: Second Team All-Conference RB and Second Team All-Conference LB. First Team All-Conference Third Baseman. Senior year: Captain of the football team. Second Team All-Conference LB and First Team All-Conference RB. Also a First Team All-State Catcher and Basebal Captain. He lettered four times in baseball and football and three times in basketball.

Why did you choose BVU? I felt like it would be a perfect fit both academically and sports wise.  It''s a great environment and I am very excited to make this town my home.

2017: Chase recorded one tackle in his one game of the season against the University of Dubuque.
