About Matthew: Is the son of Stephen and Denise...his father played college football at Sam Houston State University...has one brother, Troy.

High School Highlights: He served as a team captain during his senior season where he was a Second Team All-State defensive selection.  He was also an Honorable Mention All-District running back.

College Highlights:

2017: In his senior season for the Beavers, Matthew played in all ten games and came up with 24 tackles and one forced fumble. 

2016: Matthew would appear in all ten games this season, coming up with 21 total tackles and one sack. 

2015: He would spend most of his playing time at the JV level but did appear in 2 games where he would have 1 tackle.

2014: Matthew played primarily as a member of the junior varsity team as a freshman.
