About Nick: Is the son of Pam Amundson...has two brothers, Mathew & Jacob.
High School Highlights: Earned varsity letters in football following the 2012 and 2013 seasons. As a senior, he led the team in interceptions, was the Sioux City News Defensive Player of the Year and played on a state championship team. In addition to football, he lettered in baseball from 2011-13 and was a First Team All-Lakes Conference catcher in both 2012 and 2013. He also lettered once in both golf (2012) and track (2013).
College Highlights:
2017: Nick appeared in nine out of ten games for BV, totalling 50 tackles, recording double-digit tackles in two games. He broke up three passes (tied for fourth on the team) and had two interceptions, one of which he returned 60 yards before finally being taken down.
2016: Nick appeared in all 10 games for the Beavers his junior year. He tied for the team lead in interceptions with three and was 3rd on the team with 71 total tackles. He also led the team in pass breakups with 12 and had one fumble recovery.
2015: He appeared in all 10 games this year. He would rank 5th on the team in total tackles with 56 including 35 solo and 21 assisted. He would also lead the team in passes broken up with 6, and 2 interceptions. Against Central he had 4 tackles all solo, 1 interception, and 2 passes defensed.
2014: Nick appeared in nine games for the Beavers as a freshman and ranked eighth overall with 33 total tackles. He also had one tackle for a loss and one forced fumble to go along with a pair of pass breakups. He turned in a career-high eight tackles, including six solo, at the University of Dubuque on October 25. Two weeks later, he then matched the career-high in solo stops against Central.
