About Michael: Is the son of Doug and Connie...has two sisters, Kelsey and Katie...his dad wrestled for Buena Vista.

High School Highlights:  He was a four-year letterwinner in football, serving as a team captain his senior season.  He was an all-district performer all four years and an all-state selection his final three campaigns.  In addition to football, he also lettered four years in wrestling, also serving as a team captain his senior year.  He qualified for the state tournament as both a sophomore and junior before placing fifth as a senior.  He also lettered two years in both track and baseball.

Aside from athletics, he was a member of the National Honor Society, was listed on the Honor Roll all four years and was the recipient of the Bernie Saggau Award.

College Highlights:

2015: He would play in 5 games this year for the beavers. He would block for a 2,000 yard passer, and a rusher that averaged almost 5 yards per carry in an offense that had multiple all conference selections.

2014: Michael began the year as a starter on the offensive line but was forced to miss most of the season due to a leg injury.

2013: Michael moved into a starting role on the right side of the offensive line late in the season and helped the Beavers win four straight games to finish the year and earn a tie for third in the IIAC standings.  He helped block for a team that averaged just shy of 500 yards of total offense over the last three games and allowed just an average of two quarterback sacks per game for the year.
