About Matayo: Is the son of Lynn Schroeder

High School Highlights: Was a four-year letterwinner for the Tigers.  For his career, he was an all-district selection three times and a two-time all-conference performer.  He is the school''s career record holder for total tackles, assisted tackles, solo tackles and tackles for a loss.

In addition to football, he lettered four years in baseball and was a two-time all-district and all-area selection.  He also earned varsity letters in basketball (2), wrestling (2) and track (1).

Aside from athletics, he was listed on the Honor Roll for all eight semesters.

College Highlights:

2015: He would play 4 games at the varsity level where he would have 7 tackles. He would also spend some time at the JV level.

2014: Played primarily as a member of the junior varsity team as a freshman.
