Five Baseball Players Named to CSC Academic All-District

STORM LAKE, Iowa (June 2, 2026) - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) has announced its 2026 Academic All-District Baseball Team with Buena Vista University represented by junior Jake Eddie along with sophomores Connor Duong, Teagen Kasel, Cooper Sobeck and Kaden Struck.

To be eligible, an individual must be at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standing with at least one full academic year on campus, hold a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear in at least 90 percent of the team's overall games for the season or have started at least 66 percent of them. For pitchers only, a minimum of 17 appearances or 35 innings are required.

Eddie, who is a Business Marketing major, is making the team for a second straight season while the other four are being recognized in their first year of eligibility.

The 2026 Academic All-District® Baseball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Up to five players could nominated from each institution's Athletic Communications Director.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
