STORM LAKE, Iowa - The Buena Vista University Valorant squad picked up a comeback victory over #8 Eastern University in NECC Division VII Central quarterfinals. The Beavers advance into the semifinals to play #4 Edinboro University on Monday, March 30th at 7 pm 

After falling in map one 13-8 the Beavers regrouped to pick up close 13-9 and 13-10 map wins. In map one the two teams played on Breeze. Eastern came out on fire opening up a 9-3 lead while cruising to the 13-8 victory. Khoua Xiong led the Beavers with 23 kills while Angel Lopez followed with 15. 

Map two was Bind where the Beavers evened the series at 1-1. The Beavers came out on fire opening up a 6-2 lead. Eastern regrouped claiming an 8-7 lead before the Beavers end the match winning six of the final seven round picking up the 13-9 victory. Xiong and Lopez led the way again with 26 and 19 kills apiece. 

The two teams agreed to play the final round on Pearl. Once again Eastern came out on fire gaining a 9-5 advantage. The Beavers regrouped and won eight of the final nine rounds gaining the 13-10 victory. Xiong led the way again with 27 kills. 

The Beavers are undfeated on the season with an 8-0 record.
