GRINNELL, Iowa (Feb. 14, 2026) - The Buena Vista women's indoor track & field team turned in another strong performance over the weekend at the Darren Young Classic, hosted by Grinnell College, as it posted a handful of new personal best marks.

Freshman Hailey Hearting advanced into the finals of the 60-meter hurdles and went on to place third overall at 9.62 seconds. That time is a new personal best and. puts her into the BVU all-time top-10 list. Hearting also went on to set a new personal best time of 27.04 in the 200-meter dash where she took fourth.

Ava Mills came in right behind Hearting at fourth in the 60-meter hurdles with her new personal best time and added a new season best in the 200.

Junior Megan Bakke turned in a season best time in the mile run at 5:22.35 while placing third overall and coming within four seconds of her school record time.

Next up for BVU will be the final tune-up for the A-R-C Championships as it competes in the Maverick Open at MSU-Mankato on Friday, Feb. 20.
