STORM LAKE, Iowa (Oct. 12, 2026) - The Buena Vista volleyball team swept three more matches on the year, including the A-R-C opener over Nebraska Wesleyan, and is now the only unbeaten team remaining in Division III. The program's continued dominance to the season has earned it this week's Pizza Ranch Team of the Week accolades.

This weekly award is sponsored by the Storm Lake Pizza Ranch, and the winner(s) is/are selected each week by the BVU Athletics Communications staff based on the overall performances from all BVU Athletics events from the previous week.

A few highlights for the team from the past week include:

• The team rolling to a 3-0 sweep of Nebraska Wesleyan at home on Wednesday, Oct. 7 in the A-R-C opener. The Prairie Wolves were picked to finish fourth in the league this season
• BVU jumped out to a commanding 19-0 lead in the first set of its match against Emmaus University to begin the Crown College Triangular on Friday,  Oct. 10
• Sophomore Charley Hernandez surpassed 500 career kills during the team's 3-0 sweep over Crown College
• The 45 kills by the team against Crown marked its fourth-highest three-set match total of the year while its .333 percentage was also its fourth-highest this season

The three wins push BVU's overall season record to a perfect 16-0. The team has still only dropped two sets all season (both during the 3-2 win over Concordia-Moorhead).  The Beavers return to action on Friday night, hosting Loras College (7-10, 0-1 A-R-C) at 6 p.m., before a big showdown with the A-R-C preseason favorite and No. 17-ranked University of Dubuque on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 1 p.m.
