Seven Football Players Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

STORM LAKE, Iowa (Jan. 6, 2026) - The Buena Vista University football team had seven players earn a spot on this year's College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team as announced by the organization this afternoon.

To be eligible for consideration, an individual must be at least a sophomore in academic standing and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. The student-athlete must either start at least 90 percent of  the team's total number of games played during the season at the time of the nomination or play in at least 66 percent.

A maximum of eight individuals could be nominated by a school's athletics communications department. A combined total of 58 players from the nine American Rivers Conference schools were recognized on this year's team.

Pospichal is now a two-time selection while the other six are earning honors for the first time in their respective careers.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
