Storm Lake, Iowa - BVU Smash Gold and Navy finished a remarkable season finishing third in their respective divisions. BVU Gold finished the season finishing 3rd in NECC Division V East with a final record of 7-2 on the year. BVU Navy also finished the season 3rd in NECC Division V West-Central with a final record of 7-2. 

The Gold team of James Cheney, Micah Garringer, Matthew Forristal, Gregory Stueven and Voldy Kadisha only lost one game in the regular season due to having to forfeit their match. Then fell to the champion Edinboro. The Beavers beat Marywood and UM-Flint in the playoffs. 

The Navy team of Isaac Hatchitt, Alex Galati, Nick Becker, Simon Cooper and Ethan Tompkins fell to East Central in the regular season and Sonoma State in the playoffs. In the playoffs the Beavers beat Honey Badger Black and Fresno Pacific. 

This is the best season for the Smash team in the five seasons of the programs existence.
