Women's Hoops Rolls to 109-49 Win over Faith Baptist

STORM LAKE, Iowa (Nov. 8, 2025) - The Buena Vista women's basketball team left little doubt on Saturday against Faith Baptist during the consolation game of the first annual Central Bank Classic, as the team made 19 three-point shots and had 16 player score en route to a 109-49 victory.

Fifth-year senior McKenna Coe went 5-for-7 from long range and scored a team-high 19 points to help lead the way. Freshman Adeeya Yanga scored 16 points, sophomore Tyme Boettcher was 3-of-4 from downtown and turned in 14 points while fellow sophomore Bradi Krager chipped in with 12 points. The team's 109 points are the most since turning in 111 at Illinois Tech in 2011 and the highest inside of Siebens Fieldhouse since it also put up 109 against Central College back on Jan. 12, 2008. The team finished 19-of-31 from beyond the arc which is the highest single-game total under head coach Kylee Boettcher.

Buena Vista assisted on 34 of its 43 made field goals in the game and were led by a career-high seven by freshman from Maddy Raveling and six by sophomore McKenna Scott.

Faith Baptist led briefly at 3-2 in the opening minute of the game but from there BVU went on a 25-5 run to open up a 27-8 lead with just over four minutes left in the first quarter. The team was 16-of-22 in the opening frame, including 6-of-8 from downtown, to take a 39-14 lead to the second. The hot shooting continued as the Beavers shot 50 percent or better in all four quarters and led 60-18 at the half and 87-30 after three quarters.

The Beavers forced the Eagles into 19 turnovers and held them to just 25.4 percent shooting. Katie Costello helped led the way for Faith Baptist (0-2) with a game-high 23 points.

Following the game, Howard was named to the All-Tournament Team for BVU.

Buena Vista evens its record at 1-1 on the year and will now play an exhibition game at DI University of South Dakota on Monday, Nov. 10 with tip-off at 7 p.m.
