STORM LAKE, Iowa (Oct. 24, 2025) - The Buena Vista football team (2-4, 1-3 A-R-C) is back at home this Saturday to host Loras College (1-5, 1-3 A-R-C) and looking to win its third game inside of J. Leslie Rollins Stadium this season.

INSIDE THE SERIES:
Buena Vista won last year's match-up played in Dubuque, 20-17, which snapped the Beavers' six-game losing streak in the series…The two program's first played back in 1913 with Loras named St. Joseph at that time and won 13-7…BVU's first win in the series was a 14-0 triumph in 1929…Both teams have met up on the gridiron every year since 1986…The Beavers have a pair of six-game win streaks over the Duhawks all-time while Loras owns one seven-game streak over BVU.
LAST TIME OUT:
Buena Vista: The Beavers scored on the opening drive last week at the University of Dubuque and led 7-0 after the first quarter, but the Spartans added a pair of second quarter touchdowns to lead BVU 14-7 at the half. Dubuque then used a big third quarter and outscored BVU 26-6 in the frame to break the game open en route to a 47-20 win. The Beavers ended with 342 total yards of offense and got a balanced attack with 162 on the ground and 180 through the air.
Loras: The Duhawks held a 13-6 halftime lead over No. 8 Wartburg College but was then outscored 34-7 in the second half and fell to the Knights, 40-20. Despite the loss, the team used a big air attack to finish with 401 yards passing but had only -24 net yards rushing. The team also held the ball five minutes longer that Warburg in the game and was 12-of-22 on third down opportunities. Will Phillips was 28-for-36 through the air for 236 yards and one touchdown while Jacob Richtman went 18-of-28 for 163 yards and one score.
