STORM LAKE, Iowa - Valorant picked up their first victory of the MVEC season with a 2-0 (13-5, 13-4) victory over Gustavus Adolphus. The Beavers sit at 1-2 overall and will take on Cornell College next Tuesday at 7 pm. 

The teams opened up the match playing on the map Lotus. The Beavers and the Gusties played the first five rounds close with BVU claiming the early 3-2 lead. The Beavers took control the rest of the map winning 10 of the final 13 rounds claiming the 13-5 victory. Angel Lopez and Will Roland led the way with 22 eliminations while Lily Palmillas finished with 20. 

The second map the teams competed on was Bind. The Beavers lost the first two rounds before running away with the 13-4 victory. Lopez finished with 28 eliminations and led all players with 50 on the night. Roland finished with 22 again and 44 total.
