VERMILLION, S.D. (May 3, 2024) - The Buena Vista University men's outdoor track & field team took part in the University of South Dakota Tune-up on Friday and finished with several top times this season as it prepares for next week's conference championships.

Abraham Christensen placed fifth in the shot put at 49-9.25 for the team's highest overall finish, as Devon Schultz was sixth in the pole vault.

The team saw top-10 finishes in all three distance races with Kaden Sadler setting a new personal best time in the 1500-meter run at 4:07.05, Aiden Egertson setting a new PR in the 3000-meter steeplechase at 10:26.09. Dylan Austad came in eighth in the 5,000-meter run with his fastest time of 16:06.43.

BVU also got top-10 performances by Isaiah Thomas in the triple jump and the 4x100 relay team.

The American Rivers Conference Championships are held at Nebraska Wesleyan University on May 9-11.
