DUBUQUE, Iowa (Feb. 24, 2024) - The Buena Vista men's indoor track & field team wrapped up the American Rivers Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday afternoon in seventh-place overall with 21 total points.

The final day was highlighted for BVU by senior Kyle Miller's thrilling runner-up finish in the 800-meter run. He reached the finish line in 1:52.53 and was just 0.4 seconds off the winning time while holding off third place by 0.09 seconds. He closed out the championships by running the third leg of the 4x400 relay which captured seventh with its season-best time.

Loras College won a tight team race by 1.5 points over runner-up Wartburg College. The Duhawks finished with 145.5 points while Wartburg had 144.0. The University of Dubuque came in third with 123.5 points.

Buena Vista is expected to send select individuals to the NCAA Qualifier on Mar. 2 in Waverly, Iowa. The NCAA Indoor Championships take place on Mar. 8-9 at Virginia Beach, Va.
