NEW ULM, Minn (Nov. 15, 2024) - Martin Luther made 13 three-point shots and was 50 percent from long range overall, as the Knights used that hot shooting to get past the Buena Vista women's basketball team, 75-54, on Friday night in a non-conference match-up.

Bradi Krager all followed with seven points each. All seven of Krager's points came at the free-throw line and she also grabbed a team-leading and career-hig seven rebounds. Boettcher made two of BVU's four three-point buckets as the Beavers were held to only 4-of-21 from long range.
BVU made 17 field goals in the game and 16 from the free-throw line. The Beavers finished at just 33 percent shooting from the field overall and 16-of-27 (59.3 percent) from the charity stripe.
Martin Luther led wire-to-wire in the contest with the final margin marking its largest lead. The Knights led 20-11 after the first quarter and 40-23 at the half. BVU could never make a run of its own as Martin Luther made four three-point baskets in the first, second and fourth quarters.
Mya Morris paced four players in double figures for the Knights (1-1) with 19 points and nine rebounds, on 4-of-7 shooting from downtown.Â
Buena Vista is now 0-2 on the year and will look to bounce back and get into the win column on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 16, with a 2 p.m. tip-off at Bethany Lutheran (1-1).
